Jan Philipp Albrecht, Member of the European Parliament has been active with the “green idea” since he was 16 years old. He will visit Washington, DC from June 14th to June 16th, 2011 and speak at the CFP 2011 "The Future is Now." Conference on the issue of privacy protection in the US and the EU.

Biography

Jan Philipp Albrecht was born in 1982 and grew up in Wolfenbüttel, near Braunschweig. After receiving his High School Diploma in 2002 and completing his community service, he studied Law in Bremen, Brussels and Berlin. During his studies, he completed several internships with a newspaper and a law firm. He is currently working on his postgraduate Master, LL.M. in Hannover and Oslo and is a fellow of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Being a member of the European Parliament is not so much a job as a project for him, and his goal is to advance his political ideas of self-determination for the individual in combination with rules that protect the less fortunate.
