Julia Bartmann has been a senior programme officer in the Middle East & North Africa division since February 2021, initially working on Israel, Palestine, Egypt & Jordan, and since September 2021 on North Africa & Iran. Previously, she worked as a project officer at the hbs European Union & North America division being responsible for projects on Turkey, Greece and European Energy Transition.

She studied Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies in Marburg and Kocaeli (Turkey) and International Politics & International Public Law and Migration & Diversity in Kiel.
